Our Story

A letter from our President

The Omega Omicron startup group of Delta Sigma Pi at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is proud to share our journey of growth, innovation, and impact. Since our founding in Spring 2024, we have grown from 9 founders to welcoming 60 outstanding individuals from more than 350 interviews, officially initiated as our first Alpha class on February 15, 2025. Today, our chapter continues to thrive with 76 active members and over 370 students eager to join in Fall 2025.

From the very beginning, we have been committed to upholding the values of Professionalism, Scholarship, Community Service, and Brotherhood. These principles serve as the foundation for everything we do, whether it’s preparing our members for the business world, fostering academic success, or giving back to our community.

Over the past year, our members have engaged in professional office visits with leading firms such as KPMG, United Airlines, Grant Thornton, and Plante Moran, creating meaningful connections with industry leaders. We are also proud to be the only UIC Business organization with a corporate sponsor, Andersen, reflecting the trust and confidence the business community has in our mission.

Looking ahead, we are expanding our impact with innovative initiatives designed to prepare our members for the future of business. This includes:

Monthly AI Workshops to equip members with cutting-edge tools and industry-standard practices.
DSP Professional Week, a full week of career development, including company day and interactive workshops.
Mock Career Fair to simulate real-world networking and recruiting experiences.
Internal Job Posting Page, an exclusive resource that connects our members with career opportunities—streamlining the application process.
LinkedIn, Resume, and Mock Interview Workshops to sharpen professional branding and readiness.

Our vision is clear: to build a strong pipeline of business leaders who will shape the future of industry and uplift the UIC Business community.
